Description

The City of Salisbury (North Carolina) is currently accepting applications for a division management position that oversees the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of wastewater treatment facilities and process equipment.  Position includes responsibility for monitoring and compliance with pertinent State and Federal regulations.  Budgeting experience and strong interpersonal skills needed.  Substantial hands-on experience in wastewater plant maintenance and operations are desired.    Wastewater certification and a driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina required.  Commercial driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina preferred.  NC Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification required.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and considerable experience in wastewater maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry or related field and at least four years of experience in wastewater treatment or closely related field at a supervisory level preferred.

 

Hiring Range:  $47,720.73 – $64,286.99
