Description

The La Plata Archuleta Water District (LAPLAWD) is seeking its first ever General Manager to be responsible for all aspects of development of a rural domestic water system that includes up to two water treatment plants, 200+ miles of water delivery pipelines, numerous pumps and storage tanks. The job requires the long term commitment of time and energy to construct and operate a successful and efficient water system to serve the treated water needs of District customers. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who seeks to make a long term, positive contribution and be on the ground floor of the development of a rural water system. The ideal candidate will have the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of experience in the construction and/or operation of a water utility and familiarity with Colorado/regional water issues.
