The City of Rochester is Minnesota’s third largest City with a population of more than 110,000. Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota, serving over 55,000 electric customers and over 40,000 water customers in a 57 square mile service area.
The Manager of Maintenance and Construction - Water is a mid-level supervisory position that is responsible for directing the safe and efficient construction, operation, and maintenance of the City's water utilities to include direct responsibilities of the Water Operations personnel with leadership oversight of the Water Distribution functions.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university AND five (5) years of progressively responsible full-time employment experience in water system planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance, with at least three (3) years of supervisory/management experience. An equivalent combination of a related technical degree and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may also be considered at the discretion of the hiring manager. A Minnesota Class B Water Operations Certification is required at time of hire and a Minnesota Class A Water Operations Certification will be required within 24 months. A valid driver's license is also required.
2020 salary range of $103,923 to $152,830. An excellent benefits package is included.
