Clark Regional Wastewater District is seeking one (1) full-time individual to participate in an on-the-job training program to become a skilled and certified Maintenance Specialist. No experience necessary, entry-level position.   Career building opportunity to learn how to operate, maintain and repair critical wastewater collection and conveyance systems, an essential part of our community’s infrastructure. Ideal candidates will be driven, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with their hands and outdoors, problem-solving, being a part of a team and desire to work in and serve their community. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Train and participate in the troubleshooting, repair or replacement of pump station equipment and appurtenances, including but not limited to pumps, motors, valves and piping.
  • Train and participate in gravity sewer line repairs, including trench digging, shoring and pipe cutting.
  • Train and participate in maintaining and visually inspecting gravity sewers; remove manhole covers to inspect flows, clean collection system gravity lines, and perform video inspections.
  • Train and participate in maintaining a variety of shop equipment, including welders, drills, grinders, and saws.
  • Use computer systems to monitor system performance and to record and accurately track operations and maintenance data.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.

Monthly salary range:  $4,205 to $5,497

Starting monthly salary (DOQ): $4,205 to $4,808
