The Town of Castle Rock has an excellent opportunity for a Grounds & Facilities Sr. Maintenance Technician to join the Castle Rock Water Department. Under direct supervision of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, this position maintains grounds, facilities, and mechanical equipment necessary for water treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection. Employees in this classification act as lead worker, and perform semi-skilled, manual level work. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.
This position is part of the Town’s snow removal program. This will include scheduled on-call responsibilities through the winter months to remove snow using a 4-wheel drive pickup and/or heavy equipment. Snow removal shifts are typically 12 hours.
Qualifications generally include a High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by one year related maintenance experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. A valid Colorado Class A CDL license is preferred. Candidate must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
