Under general direction of the CR Water Operations Manager, this is professional and technical work managing the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and associated communication network. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring the long term implementation of the 2019 SCADA MP, project management, ensuring maintenance standards using CR Water Division 40 Standards and Specifications, and administering the SCADA budget. Work also includes analytical support for operational optimization, implementing policy and procedure and ensuring a customer service-oriented delivery of SCADA-related operations and maintenance activities. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.
Qualifications generally include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an instrumentation/control related field; supplemented by four (4) years process control experience in water/wastewater systems with an emphasis in SCADA technology; including one year of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination. Experience with Bristol Babcock, Allen Bradley, Endress+Hauser and ICONICS is highly preferred. Successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a criminal background and driving record check prior to commencing employment. A valid State of Colorado driver’s license is required.
