The Town of Castle Rock has an excellent opportunity for a Water Quality Compliance Technician to join the Castle Rock Water Department. Under general direction, this position performs work related to water quality compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and Clean Water Act (CWA). Work involves gathering water quality samples, performing water quality testing and conducting studies to meet state and federal requirements to protect public health and safety. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.


Qualifications generally include an Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, plus two (2) years’ experience in environmental sciences, water analysis, water sampling, analytical laboratory; or water/waste treatment, collection and distribution; or water quality monitoring; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and driving record check prior to commencing employment. A valid Colorado Class D Water Operators License or Class 1 Distribution Operators License is required or ability to obtain within 6 months. A valid Class I Distribution Operators License preferred, but not required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
