The City of Zanesville has an opening for Wastewater Superintendent. The qualified candidate shall direct the operations, maintenance and laboratory of the Wastewater Treatment facility and sanitary & combined sewer system; be responsible for the oversight of approximately 30 employees; estimated annual budget of 6.7 million.
An example of an acceptable qualification is: associates degree in environmental sciences and six (6) years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and management. Possession of Class IV operator's license or Class III operator's license with the ability to obtain the Class IV license within 24 months of appointment.

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. A State of Ohio Wastewater Class IV Operator License is required for this position and must be maintained as part of employment. Applicant must also be insurable under the City's insurance policy.
