Wastewater Management Program Specialist

Full-time permanent position (subject to probation)
Salary Range: $65,288 - $85,186 (plus excellent benefits)

Under direct or general supervision of the Environmental Sustainability Director, is responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of the City’s Wastewater Management Program including data entry and maintenance of the Integrated Wastewater Information Management System (IWIMS), coordination of the City’s Practitioner Registration Program, coordination of the Local Agency Management Program and coordination with the City’s Stormwater Management Program. Performs related work as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Be able to manage and implement the City's Wastewater Management Program, Operating Permit Program, Point of Sale Program, and other program which may be implemented in the future.
• Have the ability to coordinate the Stormwater Management Program with Public Works.
• Be a wastewater professional with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; strong oral and communication skills; and ability to relate well to the public, management, and other City employees.

Minimum Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field, including but not limited to Biological Science. Two years of increasingly responsible administrative analytical experience in environmental programs, preferably within a local government environment.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid California class C driver license and have a satisfactory driving record.
