Salary: $68,758 to $99,700 Annually
This position is responsible for the management and supervision of the City’s Water Production & Treatment division within the Public Works Department. This position oversees the day to day operation and maintenance activities within the division to include planning, scheduling, coordination, administrative, and safety adherence. Responsible for establishing goals and objectives, assisting with CIP projects, SCADA integration, and Work Management System practices. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and regional water regulatory requirements (permits).
The Water Production and Treatment Supervisor will have a demonstrated knowledge and experience with ground water wells, ground water treatment, and surface water treatment practices. Must have knowledge of safe drinking water rules and regulations. Related supervisory duties to include budget development and management, conduct staff training, conducting performance appraisals, implementation of Operational & Maintenance practices and assist with the development of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
Work commonly requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature. Knowledge is normally acquired through two (2) years of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
Five (5) years of progressive responsibility and experience working in a water production, treatment and distribution facility operation; including SCADA operations and electrical systems. Over two (2) years of supervisory/lead operator experience required.
Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License at time of hire. Must possess and maintain an Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Grade IV Water Treatment Operator's Certification at time of hire.
