Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 a year - Full-time DOE

What will I be doing?

  • This position will be working with a large irrigation district near Tulare, CA, organizing and analyzing data related to water deliveries, water management, land management, mapping, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • This position will also provide input on legal agreements and other water policy documents.
  • This position will record, verify, track water delivery data, delivery schedules, water user balances, groundwater and surface data, landowner parcel data, and prepare maps using GIS or AutoCAD.


What do I need to know?
Education:
Preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Agricultural engineering with a focus in Water Resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Entry level and new grads will be considered

Skills Preferred but Not Required:
Knowledge of irrigated agriculture and the laws, rules, and legislative process associated with it; knowledge of water conveyance systems and water measurement; ability to read and comprehend reports and regulatory documents and explain to others; and ability to effectively use mapping programs.
