Description

The Utility Worker assists in the operation and maintenance of the District water distribution system and provides exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Performs varied physically demanding manual work and operation of heavy and specialized equipment to maintain or repair water distribution systems. Also responsible for various maintenance program(s) related to water system and District facilities or vehicles.

This is generally considered an entry level position.

Requirements: 
High school diploma or GED and 0-2 years related experience; Water Distribution Manager 1 (preferred) or able to obtain within one year of employment; Valid Washington State Driver's License with acceptable driving record; Flagger card within six (6) months of employment; First Aid, CPR, Forklift, Trenching and Shoring Safety and AC Pipe Work Certification or able to obtain within one (1) year of  employment; Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or able to obtain within eighteen (18) months of employment;  reside within 25 miles of the District's office.

Hiring Process:
