The MCSD is seeking a skilled professional to manage a services district that provides water, sewer, alley maintenance, refuse collection, street lighting, park and recreation management, fire and ambulance services, and library management to the community of McCloud, California. The MCSD serves approximately 700 developed parcels representing approximately 1,100 residents. McCloud is situated on the southeastern slope of Mount Shasta and is surrounded by National Forest.

This job is being offered as a full time position.


The ideal candidate has substantial experience as a team leader in planning projects and improving community services. The candidate must be a solution oriented person, strategic planner, competent in cost control, and a proven leader in developing collaborative relationships with the board, staff, community and other agencies.

The ideal candidate will have management level experience, experience in infrastructure planning and regulations, and engineering principles and practices. Bachelor’s degree desired or equivalent experience plus two years of increasingly responsible management experience ideally. Salary is D.O.E. plus negotiable benefits, including PERS retirement, family medical, dental, and vision.
