The South Adams County Water and Sanitation District is dedicated to providing affordable, sustainable water resources including quality water, wastewater and related services to our customers in a manner that promotes public health, safety and quality of life. We are looking to add to staff within our Wastewater Treatment Facility in the capacity of a SCADA Instrumentation & Controls Tech.
This position provides technical support of instrumentation and control equipment and systems for various data acquisition, SACADA and radio communication including:
- Planning, enhancement, and installation
- System integration
- Maintenance and repair
- Troubleshoot complex problems
- Programming
- Gather, interpret and analyze data
- Install electrical circuits and associated equipment
- Calibrate and test water systems instrumentation
- Maintains PLC’s, RTU’s and data acquisition/telemetry systems
Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s degree in computer science, electronics or process control/instrumentation or equivalent combination of education/experience, with a minimum of two years related experience in electronic or technical support of LAN/WAN based SCADA networks, preferably with Iconics . Valid, current Driver’s License necessary for travel throughout the District.
Proficient computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and MS operating systems. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized instrumentation systems, transformers, switches, control panels and electronic elements of telemetry systems and components necessary. Strong troubleshooting and programming background.
Solid organizational, communication and decision making skills required. Independent thinker with strong initiative, working with limited supervision in a changing environment, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
Salary range: $24.12 - $39.42 hourly
