Job Description:

 

The Director of Information Technology has overall responsibility for developing, executing, and articulating the Company's technology strategy. This position has general oversight for IT infrastructure, cloud and on-prem enterprise applications, database administration, service desk, telecommunication, project management, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. He or she is expected to work with all levels of the organization and outside resources to deliver highly technical and challenging projects. The successful candidate has a proven track record of leading a diverse department supporting a national workforce, developing, and mentoring employees, and adept at applying new technologies to improve existing business processes. He or she must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. This position is located in San Jose, California and works onsite four days a week and one day remote.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Develops, delivers, and communicates the IT vision and strategy; implements tactical plans which support the Company's business objectives

 

  • Partners with the various IT Managers to support all aspects of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, service desk, mobile, and telecommunication systems to ensure the highest uptime and performance

 

  • Collaborates with various departments especially Customer Service, Accounting, and Engineering to implement technical solutions to improve the customer and employee experience and operational efficiency

 

  • Monitors the health of multiple enterprise level projects and assist the project managers in completing those projects on time, budget, and scope

 

  • Establishes capital and operating budget and monitors the spending; provides support for rate case filings

 

  • Manages staff, including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and oversees the development of staff

 

  • Reviews, monitors, and enforces the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls

 

  • Participates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement program and projects

 

  • Performs other similar duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience

 

  • Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, storage systems, and telecommunications

 

  • Five years of increasing responsible experience in a management role

 

  • Ten years of experience in Information Technology in the network infrastructure or application development area

 

  • Valid California State Driver License

 

Salary Range: $174,000 - $305,000
