The City of Portland is currently seeking two Storekeeper/Acquisition Specialist II's in the Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) and the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). The Storekeeper/Acquisition Specialist II is a member of a team responsible for purchasing, receiving, storing, and disbursing stock and non-stock items working in outside yard areas and/or indoor storage facilities, as well as maintaining control of bureau assets in accordance with acceptable inventory control principles and practices. This position will advise other Bureau staff of appropriate purchasing procedures/regulations; reconcile procurement card statements; may maintain petty cash; create and maintain computer records and perform other tasks as assigned while maintaining a safe, orderly, clean distribution environment. The Storekeeper/Acquisition Specialist II also serves as a stand-alone primary resource on technical issues related to the function, responds to calls to work during emergencies and may be trained and appointed as a team member of City of Portland/Bureau emergency management structure for Logistics. Although the current vacancies are with the Bureau of Environmental Services and the Bureau of Transportation, this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies throughout the City.
