The Town of Yountville is looking for a motivated and skilled Utilities Operator I/II to join our Public Works team!
If you’re passionate about keeping vital water and wastewater systems running smoothly, enjoy hands-on work, and want to serve the community, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
?? Operate, inspect, and maintain water wells, treatment facilities, and storage systems
?? Monitor and optimize wastewater and recycled water systems
?? Perform lab tests, sampling, and troubleshooting
?? Use specialized tools, equipment, and vehicles in daily operations
?? Keep accurate records and help ensure safe, reliable water for our residents
Who We’re Looking For:
? Utilities Operator I: Entry-level candidates with a Grade I Water or Wastewater Certification (or ability to obtain within set timeframes)
? Utilities Operator II: Experienced operators with Grade II Water/Wastewater Certification and advanced technical knowledge
? Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
? California Class C driver’s license
