BackgroundOUR CLIENT is a leading environmental solutions provider committed to delivering sustainable environmental technologies in the wastewater sector. Their focus is on removing PFAS from complex liquid streams. They seek a skilled and highly driven Application Engineer to support sales initiatives across the US.
DescriptionSeeking a skilled and highly motivated Application Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in their business by providing essential pre- and post-sales support for projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and communication skills, enabling them to drive competitive bids to success.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise
- Develop a deep understanding of their patented PFAS removal system and removal processes.
- Provide te
- chnical support and expertise to clients and internal teams.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in PFAS removal technologies.
Sales Support
- Lead preparation of project bids and development of comprehensive proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Provide in-depth review of technical documentation for projects including specifications, plans, and drawings.
- Develop cost estimation for system design and include all associated project costs
- Procure quotes to support design for accessories and ancillary equipment.
- Lead bid project kick-off meetings and project hand-off meetings with internal team.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Use Salesforce to track sales cycle and develop sales funnel
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and technical documentation.
Customer Engagement
- Ability to prepare and deli
- ver technical presentations to support sales team
- Engage with consulting engineers and clients to understand their specific needs and challenges.
- Participate in on-site job walks (as needed)
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure successful implementation and operation of the system (as needed)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Environmental Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related sciences field.
- 3+ years preferred experience in a technical sales or application engineering role, preferably in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
- Experience with municipal, industrial, and solid waste purchasing processes, understanding of industry regulations and trends.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary.
Working Conditions
Environment: Remote office, occasional site or customer visits may include solid waste (MSW) landfills, industrial facilities, or similar.
Exposures: Our Systems are typically applied in sites with known surface and/or groundwater contamination. Ability to work with required PPE is mandatory.
Physical Requirements: Office / sedentary and ability to travel via vehicle or plane.
