The County of Madera is now accepting applications for the position of Water Resources Specialist I,II and III.
The incumbent will possess specialized knowledge in the area of ground water and watershed management, as well as the responsibility for oversight of water resources-related programs and projects.
The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas:
- Water resources principles and practices.
- Project management principles and practices.
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations related to water resources and projects.
- Research and mathematical methods as applied to collection and analysis of data.

I Level: $62,130.53 - $75,520.04 Annually
II Level: $72,158.14 - $87,708.98 Annually
III Level: $79,727.48 - $96,909.28 Annually
All levels require possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental science, ecology, geology, environmental science, urban and regional planning, engineering, or closely related field; and possession or ability to obtain by date of appointment, a valid Class "C" California driver's license.
I Level: No experience is required.
II Level: One (1) year of increasingly responsible water resources experience comparable to that of a Water Resources Specialist I with Madera County.
III Level: One (1) year of increasingly responsible water resources experience comparable to that of a Water Resources Specialist II with Madera County.
