About the Position
The Olympia Public Works Department seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Water Resources Planning and Engineering Supervisor with the Water Resources Line of Business. The selected individual will be responsible for providing an advanced level of technical expertise, project management, and program leadership within the context of utility-based water resource management. The individual will lead an eight-person team of multidisciplinary staff engaged in multiple and diverse projects as part of a work group providing integrated planning, engineering, and program development services for the City of Olympia's drinking water, wastewater, and storm and surface water utilities. The Supervisor will ensure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of ambitious City environmental programs. Seeking a candidate with leadership expertise in water resource engineering, natural resource management, and long-range planning.

Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to Water Resources and four years progressively responsible management or supervisory experience in Water Resources is required.
Municipal or other public sector experience in the water resources field is preferred.
Professional Engineering license and/or completion of graduate level program in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Planning or related field is preferred.
Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.
