Position placement and pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications.

The Control Systems Technician Lead - Operates in a lead capacity to  Control Systems Technician I, II, III and IV personnel, motivating staff to meet quality standards and schedules while positively contributing to solving work related problems. Performs a variety of tasks at a high skill level to maintain and install electrical controls, calibrate and design instrumentation control systems, modify existing PLC and SCADA programming, design new programs and installations, and performs various electrical tasks at all District water and wastewater facilities.

Control Systems Technician I, II, III, IV - Maintain the controls system network, SCADA & PLC Systems, and instrumentation equipment at our water production facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and sewer pump stations. This includes calibrating instrumentation controls, troubleshooting and modifying existing PLC and SCADA programming, maintaining control systems networks, and performing various other tasks including electrical work as needed to support the District’s Electrical Team.

The successful candidate (depending on the position applied for) should have some combination of the following: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) to four(4) years college degree in Instrumentation, PLC and SCADA programming, Control Systems Networking, and Electronics is desired but not required.
  • Desired schooling or two (2) or more years experience (depending on position being applied for) in an industrial environment installing electrical controls, calibrating instrumentation controls, modifying existing PLC and SCADA programs, modifying control systems networks, and providing preventative maintenance for industrial control system network equipment.
  • One (1) or more years experience (depending on position being applied for) in an industrial control system environment related to the water and wastewater industry is desired but not required.
