The Opportunity: SCADA Technician
The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District (AWWD) is looking for a SCADA professional with strong technical skills to fill a SCADA Technician opening in the Maintenance & Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on SCADA and telemetry systems, applicable instrumentation, controls, and power distribution systems.
This position requires any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be two years of progressively responsible experience in SCADA system maintenance, instrumentation and electronics, and two years of higher education in Instrumentation and Industrial Automation or a related field. A valid Washington State Driver's License is required. Electrical certification at least at the level of an (06) Limited Energy Systems or higher is desirable.
This position is represented by WCCCE, Local No. 1811A, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. A valid Washington State Driver's license and acceptable driving record is required for all classification levels. The pay range for this position is $33.31 - $44.63 per hour ($69,276 - $92,832 annually), with starting pay of $33.31 - $38.56, dependent upon experience and qualifications. After successful completion of probation, the selected candidate has the ability to work toward an internal promotion to Senior SCADA Technician which is a pay grade 16.
