OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT

Lindsay-Strathmore Irrigation District, located in the Central Valley of California, is in need of an experienced individual to fill the District’s newly created position of Operations and Maintenance Superintendent. The optimum individual must be intelligent, analytical, pragmatic, articulate, curious, creative, and must present a professional image. The candidate must be able to “think on their feet,” communicate seamlessly with management, and effectively supervise others in a fiscally conservatively manner.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or a related field. The candidate should possess at least five (5) years’ experience in water operations along with knowledge of California water law, experience in contracts and work for or with a public agency. Prior experience in engineering sciences, project management, construction management, pump and motor operations, and SCADA systems operations would be considered a plus. Possession of or ability to obtain a T2 & D2 Drinking Water Certification is critical.
