Salary: $19.00 - $30.00

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Water Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our water treatment plant to ensure the delivery of clean and safe drinking water to our customers. This position requires a strong understanding of water treatment processes, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor water treatment equipment including pumps, filters, chemical feed systems, and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Perform water quality testing and analysis using appropriate instruments and methods.
• Adjust treatment processes as necessary to meet water quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and water quality data.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly to minimize disruptions to water supply.
• Collaborate with team members and management to implement improvements to plant operations and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School Diploma or GED.
• A passing score on the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Water C level license or above.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
• Ability to work a 12-hour (7-7 AM or PM) shift in either Pasco or Hillsborough County
