We are currently accepting applications for an opening in our Engineering Department. We are looking for a team player, someone who is eager to learn, can take initiative and work effectively on their own.

The Engineer or Engineering-in-Training provides management and review of the District’s Developer Extension projects, Project Management and design of Capital Improvement Projects. In addition, the position will assist in the development and implementation of water and sewer infrastructure improvements within the District through development and District-initiated Capital Projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Two or more years’ experience in design, construction, and project management of public works projects
  • Washington State Professional Engineer license or Engineer-in-Training
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License in good standing

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Civil engineering principles and practices used in design, construction, and inspection of water, sewer, roadway, and storm drainage projects; water supply and wastewater engineering along with hydrology and geotechnical engineering; Construction Management principles and practices; Project Management; Advanced level AutoCad; Professional communication and interpersonal skills; Solid technical writing; Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
